In Pursuit of the Millenium

I learned this week that Norman Cohn has died.

When my friends at university had opened my eyes to the world beyond the mathematical, I read all his books that the library had to offer, Europe's Inner Demons, The Pursuit of the Millenium and more recently his look at the influence of Zoroastrianism on Christianity, Cosmos, Chaos and the World to Come.

These have much to offer on the subjects of milleniarism, radical Christianity and witch hunts. Perhaps I shall get hold of his other two volumes on the Flood and the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

Unfortunate. I've only read CCCatWtC, but it's excellent.

Norman Cohn
Thank you for this sad news - which I had missed completely.

I discovered him many, many years ago because of my interest in the Anabaptists and he changed my view of the world.
