The great space zombie

I took Piriton today for the first time ever at 10:30. By 14:30, my nose had started to run again but I still felt like I wasn't in my body. I pulled up a spreadsheet and then couldn't remember for the life of me why. My boss told me to go home so I did, taking care not to cross any major roads.

Actifed just knocks me out so I'll try benadryl tomorrow.

I sympathise. Just getting over a bug that is still leaving me dizzy.

Isn't wierd that people pay good money to be disorientated while you would likely pay not to suffer that benefit:/

Not totally sure what I'm doing differently, but I haven't had so much as a cold for a couple of years (but still bothered by allergies). Maybe vitamins, or cutting down on dairy foods a bit?

You could try eucalyptus oil, either:
(a) splashed on a rag, hanging nearby
(b) a few drops in a bowl of boiling water, you breathe in the fumes through nose.

I also find that snorting Otrivin does wonders for clearing up my head, though it's only a step short of snorting raw ammonia.

Olbas Oil I use and that works pretty well for clearing the passages. I hadn't thought of using it for hayfever.

Have you tried Beconase (available at pharmacies without prescription, though it used to be doled out on Prescription only when I first started using it) twice a day as a preventer? I have house dust and cat hair allergies (and 2 cats and a corresponding allergy to doing housework) and that keeps it under control pretty much all year round.
