Tea-drinker par excellence

Cricket? Test Matches? Exciting?!

How did that happen? I thought it was about grumbling, waiting, Boycott droning on about scoring 12 runs of 228 deliveries and Australia winning. I guess I was wrong (except for the bit about Boycott).

It seems to be down to some congruence of weather, sheer bloody mindedness from England and a certain amount of taking things for granted by Australia. That two tests should be decided in the last session, and probably even a third is unheard of in test cricket. That England might not lose any of them simply astounding. With Jones restored and a decent replacement for Bell they might even have a really good team.

It just about makes up for having watched the debacle that was the England football team last week.
