Guerilla Roleplayer

Scotland at the World Cup

I was checking up on the baseball scores, I'm a Red Sox fan, when I noticed an ESPN advert for World Cup coverage. I clicked on it, not because I get ESPN, but because the face on the ad was clearly a Scotland fan.

This is what it says on the ESPN site:

Only 32 countries are selected to play in the World Cup. Scotland, like many others, will be watching from home. This does not stop them from cheering. This will not squelch generations of enthusiasm for the game.

This is just wrong in so many ways that it's difficult to talk about it with laughing out loud.
Tea-drinker par excellence

You read Tolkien?

There's now a preview pdf available here of this fine new game from Contested Ground Studios.

I've got a credit for writing the scenario and my father-in-law has a credit for providing background information. We double-teamed it.

In other news, go see Brick. "It's the best film this year," said the cashier at the Clapham Picture House. He was not wrong.
