Although we didn't know the flag of Greenland and we unfortunately crossed out tequila and put tia maria as the spirit in a bloody maria, we still did enough to come joint first in the quiz at simonjrogers' school. I was thrust to the front to answer the tie break question and got £8 closer than the other team's guess of the bar takings for the night. I suppose being the non-drinker on my team helped.

So, once again we returned in triumph with t-shirts, although somewhat puzzled that only so few people knew that the currency of Canada is the loonie.

I work with Gordon. He's a massive Eurovision fan and will be there in Helsinki for the final tomorrow. He was also there yesterday for the semis, and all the rehersals. I was a bit disappointed to find out that they do reherse, it means much less chance of it all going horribly funnily wrong on the night - except of course for Jemini two years ago
