Tea-drinker par excellence

New Style Cumbrian

"Brains, fresh brains for baby Jesus,” crooned the farm in a warm contralto, startling Joe half out of his skin.

The latest Escape Pod is a live performance of Charles Stross' Rogue Farm, a tale of post-cyberpunk farming in Cumbria. It's a good story and all the more strange that some of the American readers try to put on English accents.

The jokes which the Americans didn't get were also instructive, notably the use of Carrolian terminology and the usual fauna of Cumbria.
