Tea-drinker par excellence

Plinth-o-rama

The fourth plinth experiment is coming to an end and the Guardian has a Top 10 which starts with Gerald Chong's brilliant Godzilla.

You can watch the video of his time on the plinth here and his youtube video of his creation of the costume and his day here.
Tea-drinker par excellence

Vive les bananes

One of my favourite silly songs from Ray Ventura et ses Collégiens in 1936.

It has the brilliant lines:
Même les plus inconnus parmi les hommes célèbres
Apprécient les vertus de ce fruit sans vertèbres.

(Even the most unknown of people we celebrate
Appreciate the vertues of the fruit invertebrate)

And here's a video with a monkey.

And here's the orginal from Chris Yacich-Lorraine Milne by the Hoosier Hotshots but this time delivered by George Elrick, I like bananas (because they have no bones):

And a Busby Berkely number:

But the French version is best.
