The sun has got his hat on

Last month in France I went for 15 minute walk a got sunburnt. Yesterday, the time it took me to walk from Clapham Common tube to pick up Simon from work and get to his house, about 20 minutes outside, was long enough to get visible sunburn on my forearms and nose. And yet it didn't seem especially hot. And I got burnt in February last year after a three hour walk in Richmond Park.

Is the ozone layer even thinner than it was round these parts or is it age thinning out my skin?
